Language operates between literal and metaphorical signification.

Subject's Number:
"1505899."
State Your Name.
"My name is Fidelity Cari."
What is Your Name's Definition and Origin?
"Loyalty to an Allegiance, Promise, or Vow" (English) and "Beloved" (Welsh).
Your Gender?
"Female."
What is Your Breed/Species?
"I am a genetically modified feline."
Specifically, What Kind of Feline are You?
"I am a mixture of a Bronze Egyptian Mau, a Cream American Shorthair Tabby, a Bengal Cat, a Javanese Cat, and a Nebelung. My ears are a combination of the Bronze Egyptian Mau and Bengal; I get my coloring from both the Cream American Shorthair Tabby and the Javanese; and my tail comes from both the Javanese and the Nebelung. My eyes are sort of all of the breeds combined, as all have light colored eyes. My body-build is a combination of the Bronze Egyptian Mau and the Nebelung. My fur is unlike any breed I've ever come across - I assume it's a mixture of all five breeds that were genetically combined to create me."
When is Your Birthday?
"February 18. I am an Aquarius."
Your Sexuality?
"I am not certain at this point, however, I will make an educated guess that I am either a heteroromantic asexual or a heterosexual, as I have a preference for males."
Do You Have any Quirks?
"The word quirk is defined as 'odd event: a strange and unexpected turn of events; odd mannerism: a peculiar habit, mannerism, or aspect of somebody's character; curved shape: a curved shape, pattern, or decoration, e.g. a flourish in handwriting,' according to the Bing Dictionary. I assume you're speaking of the second definition, yes? Acting upon that supposition, I must say, I have none that I know of."
Why, You're Doing One Right Now!
"I am not. Do you see me twitching my tail uncontrollably, or blinking my eyes rapidly? I am not overly sweating, nor am I breathing funnily. All of those things are habits, mannerisms, or aspects of one's character - and those habits, mannerisms, and aspects do not describe my character."
That's True, but You're Still Doing a Mannerism Right Now.
"And what mannerism am I partaking in currently?"
You're Not Showing Any Emotion. It Takes Practice and Dedication to Not Show Any Emotion, but to Keep One's Face a Mask. Would You Not Agree?
"Yes, I would agree that that statement is valid. What is the point of this observation?"
That You do, in Fact, Have a Quirk.
"I do not personally consider my choice to not show emotions as a quirk, as a quirk is generally thought of as something that one does involuntarily - without thinking about it - or that one once chose to do but has done it for so long that it simply becomes habit. For the sake of getting this interview over with, however, I am willing to relent. If you wish to call it a quirk, you may - just know that I do not agree with that definition of the word."
What is Your Theme Song?
"In my entire life I have never been asked such a ridiculous question."
Do You Not Have One, Then?
"I do not find it logical for one to have a theme song, however, I do not look down upon any individual who chooses to select a song for himself or herself."
So...You Don't Have One?
"Not in the literal sense. However, if I DID have to choose one, it would be a classical piece, like Chopin's Trio Op. 8 in G Minor."

Personality:
Inquisitive by nature, Fidelity greatly loves inquiries. She tries to get others to think for themselves, often asking the difficult questions most other beings would be too scared to ask. She doesn't mind being looked at funnily, due to the odd stares and mean looks having been thrown at her for her entire life. She's always been an outcast, so she figures she might as well be an outcast for a good reason - learning more and asking questions - than for no reason at all.
Quite the logical feline, Fidelity enjoys working out problems in her head. Like Mr. Spock from Star Trek, she tries her hardest to control her emotions, hiding things from others who need not know what she feels. She may come across as secretive for this reason, but she's only being her normal, logical self.
Not only is she logical, but she is also intelligent. One of the most intelligent beings in the scientific experiment facility, Fidelity often doesn't understand when her peers don't easily understand what she is saying, as to her, her words make perfect sense. She often uses large words to make a point when smaller and more easily-understood words would be more effective, but she enjoys having more knowledge than the rest of her peers, so she continues to word things differently than the average animal at the facility.
She doesn't have a very good sense of humor, as she takes most everything literally. Fidelity will often analyze jokes like they're algebraic problems that need to be solved, so she obviously doesn't take jokes well at all. It's best not to use sarcasm when around her; while she understands the actual usage of sarcasm, she doesn't see the need to use it in everyday conversation. If you even THINK about using crude language when you're around her, she'll immediately resent you, as she LOATHES coarse language and doesn't think it's at all necessary for the average person to use in normal conversations.
Fidelity is VERY rules-oriented. Often, people think she's obsessed with rules, but this isn't the case. While she follows them to the letter most of the time, she has, at times, plotted revenge all while looking innocent. She is very good at masking her emotions, so this comes as an advantage when she wants to get away with something, as no one ever suspects a rule-abiding kitty to break every rule she so strictly adheres to.
Chaos honestly explains exactly what hides underneath the mask that Fidelity erects. She puts up a false front, hiding the emotions that boil beneath the surface, threatening to make her explode in a fit of rage or sadness at any second. She has found a way to stuff her emotions deep down inside herself, not letting any escape. Stuffing emotions down can make her seem cold and unloving at times, however, and most beings don't like her for this reason. She is honestly very emotional - she has just chosen to mirror Ltd. Cmdr. Data and Mr. Spock. She has chosen to shove down and not show the emotions that threaten to overwhelm her. She thinks that keeping her emotions in check is the best way to show self-control, as one who controls his/her emotions is not controlled by them.
Just because she doesn't show her emotions doesn't mean that Fidelity doesn't have opinions. She is EXTREMELY opinionated, particularly about what she deems as right and wrong. She'll speak up if someone's being mean or rude and it's inconveniencing her, but she'll do so logically and in a wise manner, as she thinks highly of others who act civilly, so she tries to be civil herself.
Fidelity is VERY stubborn. Because she knows so much, she is rarely ever wrong about anything. Having this kind of mindset makes her seem lofty and better than everybody else - almost snooty at times - and it also makes her stubborn. Not being wrong very often creates a mentality that one is NEVER wrong, thus creating a stubborn mindset when this mentality is challenged. Because of this, Fidelity does NOT deal well with beings who challenge her correctness on certain subjects. In other words, she HATES being told that she's wrong about something, and will fight tooth and nail to prove that she's not the one who's wrong.

Personality:
Felicity is very honest by nature. She doesn't like to lie or cheat or steal - she's very upright, morally speaking. Being so honest does have its consequences, however. She often speaks before she thinks things through, and sometimes gets in trouble for supposed "bad-mouthing" or "talking-back," and she's very confused when she does get into trouble, as she often says, "I wasn't telling a lie, so why make all the fuss?" She doesn't understand that being so blunt and straightforward may not always be the best option. She physically cannot lie, so if someone asks her if something he/she is wearing makes him/her look fat, Felicity will answer truthfully, even if it's better to stay quiet.
Regarding her freedom, she throws caution to the wind and tries to escape no matter what the consequences are. Felicity will often go as far as to break established laws to even try to get her freedom, as she hates being cooped up. For awhile she didn't mind it so much - you get free room and board and food, and you also have the chance to go outside, if you're good. But she soon grew tired of the countless exercises she was forced to undergo, the injections that she'd get at least twice a day, and the feeling of restlessness, of not being able to run outside to let that energy out.
She loves the outdoors just as much as the indoors - if the indoors have a TV with at least a DVD player - and she's quite comfortable anywhere you put her. She's able to adapt well to her surroundings, even if she can't always make friends in those surroundings. She's quite comfortable watching TV or reading a book, just as she is running outside or just sitting and listening to the birds sing. Like anyone, she gets tired of staying indoors if she is forced to do so for long periods of time, and will crave the great outdoors. She'll get quite irritable if she can't get out, and will literally start crawling the walls.
Felicity loves to laugh. She counts laughter and happiness very high in regards of honor, and she finds she is happiest when around others who are happy. She also honors the freedom of speech - one of the few freedoms she has living in laboratories - and constantly wonders why some of her associates use foul language, as, in her opinion, using such language is spitting in the face of the freedom, as it shows that they don't care how they sound, and thus they don't care about the freedom they abuse.
Felicity may be small, but that doesn't stop her from eating twice as much as other dogs. She often wonders if the genetic modifications to make her more like a butterfly increased her metabolism, thus making her more hungry than the average canine. And, unlike the average canine, she's an omnivore, meaning she eats anything (meats, grains, and veggies). This is most likely due to the genetic modifications that were done to her early on in life.
Felicity is opinionated and lets everybody know it. If she's got something to say, you can count on her to say it loud and say it proud. She doesn't have a problem with others looking at her oddly - it's almost as if she doesn't realize they do so. She's very strong-willed and doesn't really care if someone disagrees with her about something - she sticks to her guns and doesn't let up or move in her opinions and beliefs.
She is very strong emotionally, and she tends to stick up for those whom she sees as emotionally weak. She doesn't think less of them as creatures, but she thinks more of them as sisters or daughters/brothers or sons. She sees them as beings who need help not because they are weak, but because they need help being strong. Felicity is not one to back down from a fight, and will often get into fights defending those she cares about.
